Conference organizers invite all researchers and specialists working in the field of biotechnology, biology, medicine, chemistry  and all those concerned in current issues of radiation safety

The Conference will be focused on the following issues:

        Radiation safety in the 21st century after Chernobyl and Fukushima nuclear accidents;

        Results  of over 25-year studies on medical after-effects of Chernobyl NPP accident;


        Biological effects of radiation;

        Problems of radioactive wastes utilization;

        Problems related to deactivation of surfaces contaminated by radionuclides;

        Remediation of contaminated soils in zones of radioecological tension;

The working languages at the Conference are English and Russian. 

Feel free to prepare your oral presentation in Russian or English.

Conference Proceedings will be published  in English.


Conference contributions will be accepted for platform presentation. Every session will be opened by keynote speakers and continued by oral presentations. 

   Symposia will be proceeded by a "round table" discussion.

A number of social events are planned.


To ensure preparation of  Proceedings, please provide us with the papers based on presentation you plan for the Conference.

The Conference is organized under the sponsorship of the International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) by the Scientific Centre of Radiation Medicine and Burns and Yerevan Institute "Plastpolymer"

The Scientific Centre of Radiation Medicine and Burns was founded in 1958. Nowadays the Centre involves: Centre of Radiation Medicine and Centre of Burns - the unique specialized subdivisions in Armenia.

One of the key problems elaborated at the Scientific Centre of Radiation Medicine and Burns is diagnosis and treatment of radiation-induced and combined radiation/ thermal injuries.

At the Scientific Centre of Burns there are Departments for adults and children, Department of Intensive Care, and Traumatic Emergency Unit. The Centre of Burns is equipped with modern facilities, has highly qualified specialists trained in foreign countries to possess good command of modern methods applied by present-day combustiology for treatment of seriously burned patients.

Yerevan Institute "Plastpolymer" was founded in 1958 as a branch of Okhtin Association "Plastpolymer" (Leningrad). The Institute includes Scientific-Research and Industry Departments.

Current activity of the Institute involves synthesis of vinyl acetate and synthesis of polymers with vinyl monomers basis.
